About | Tutor for a Struggling Reader

I’ve walked your path as a parent of a struggling reader (We only discovered that my daughter was dyslexic in high school.) The Literacy Keys was started to help families solve reading challenges.

In my experience, most children need a structured, systematic approach when learning to read. Otherwise they become a struggling reader. Unfortunately, too many schools want to simply hand students a book and hope that they will develop a love of reading. It doesn’t work that way.  That simply creates struggling readers.
