When you need a 504 plan consultation
Maybe the school said your child doesn’t qualify? Maybe you have a plan on paper that nobody is following? Maybe you have a meeting next week and you don’t know what to ask for? I’ve been on your side of that table. I fought my own daughter’s school for a 504 plan, SAT accommodations, and I won. Then, I spent years helping other families do the same thing.
How the call works
Send me whatever you have ahead of time: evaluations, the current plan, emails from the school, work samples. I’ll read the material before we meet. Then we spend 45 minutes on what matters. What the records actually support. What the school is required to do, versus what they’ve told you. What to ask for, and in what order. After the meeting, you’ll get a written summary so you’re not trying to remember what was discussed in a meeting three weeks later.
What this is and isn’t
This is an educational consultation to explain how IEP, 504 and testing accommodation plans work and what makes them succeed. It isn’t legal advice, and it doesn’t include attending a meeting with you.
